TfL's docked bike-share scheme. Pay-as-you-go is charged per 30 minutes, with day, monthly and annual passes available. You collect a standard bike from a street docking station and must return it to another station - e-bikes require separate registration. No child seats, no family bikes, and no delivery: you walk to the dock.

A delivered hire is a different kind of service - we bring the bikes to your hotel, Airbnb or apartment, fully set up, in the type you actually want (e-bike, family bike, child seat fitted), and collect them from the same address when you're done. There's no docking station to find and no app to navigate.
For a single short one-way ride, usually yes - both are inexpensive public schemes built for exactly that. Santander Cycles is pay-as-you-go per 30 minutes, and Lime charges per minute of riding. A delivered hire is a different product aimed at a different need: a full day or several days with the bike, a family or group who all need the right size and setup, or a guided tour - not a quick point-to-point trip. No. Both schemes only offer standard single-adult-rider bikes, with no child seats or kids' bikes available. No. Santander Cycles bikes live at fixed docking stations across central London that you have to walk to, and Lime bikes are wherever the app's map shows one currently parked - both require you to go and find a bike. London Bicycle Concierge is the opposite: tell us your hotel, Airbnb or apartment address and a time window, and we bring the bikes to you, already adjusted and ready to ride.
It depends what you need. For a single quick ride between two points with no luggage and no children, Santander Cycles or Lime are fast and cheap.
